NEIGHBOURS OF THE OLDEST VINE

Art. Heritage. Gastronomy.

Step into the world of modern craftsmanship rooted in centuries of tradition. In the heart of Maribor’s historic Lent district, contemporary creators are reimagining the spirit of the old guilds

— through clay, sculpture, touch, poetry, and wine.

This experience takes you through the hidden corners of Lent, where you’ll meet today’s “neighbours” – artists, artisans, and thinkers who shape the soul of the city. Clay becomes a calming ritual. Poetry breathes through voice and interpretation. Sculpture explores form and material. Osteopathy restores balance through silent presence.

Along the way, you’ll visit landmarks like the Museum of the Oldest Vine, the Old Vine House, the Renaissance Water and Judgement Towers, and the vibrant Minorite Cultural Quarter.

What to expect:
– A guided stroll through Lent, enriched with tales of guilds, craftsmanship, and contemporary culture
– Encounters with at least four “neighbours” – local artisans and storytellers who bring the quarter to life
– Exclusive tours of the Museum of the Oldest Vine and the vibrant Minoriti Cultural Quarter
– Three curated tastings of fine local wines from Štajerska, one of Slovenia’s premier wine-growing regions
– Discovery of the Renaissance Water and Judgement Towers
– Shared long-table snacks and convivial moments beneath the descendant of the world’s oldest vine
